Donnie has over 15 years professional graphic design and Illustration experience. His skills and experience include publication design, retail marketing and brand management. His interest in illustration and character development led him to exploring animation and digital media. He has worked with the Intellimedia Group Inc. (NCSU) developing assets and animations (3D and 2D) for game-based learning environments that artfully leverage interactive digital media to create effective, engaging learning experiences in Science and Creative Writing. He has a keen interest in creating work that is focused on developing youth.

His animation focus, before joining iRT, was exposing students to culturally significant figurative language.  Donnie created an animated lesson for sixth grade English students titled, “Idioms, Letting the Cat out of the  Bag”. This project required focusing on figurative language,  learning styles and best practices for communicating information to young viewers.
