Media Detective and Media Ready programs rated as Media Detective and Media Ready programs rated as "Promising" on OJJDP's Model Programs Guide (MPG) (posted: Friday, February 10, 2012)
iRT is pleased to announce that the Media Detective and Media Ready programs have been reviewed and rated as “Promising” on The Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention's Model Programs Guide (MPG).  The MPG is an easy-to-use tool that offers a database of scientifically-proven programs that address a range of issues, including substance abuse, mental health, and education programs.  This database assists practitioners and communities in selecting evidence-based prevention and intervention programs that can make a difference in the lives of children and communities.  
iRT attends second annual National Mentoring SummitiRT attends second annual National Mentoring Summit (posted: Monday, January 23, 2012)
Drs. Janis Kupersmidt and Rebecca Stelter will be attending the second annual National Mentoring Summit in Washington, D.C. on January 24th and 25th. The theme of the summit is “Invest in the Future: Mentor a Child.” At the summit, Drs. Kupersmidt and Stelter will be conducting a workshop on iRT’s mentor training program, Mentoring Central. Dr. Kupersmidt will be participating in two additional workshops: one on mentoring youth with disabilities and learning differences, and another on Mentor in a Box, a kit created in collaboration with MENTOR/National Mentoring Partnership and Viacom, developed to assist corporations in developing a mentoring program.
